A2A district cooling

Cool comfort and less electricity consumption

We transform thermal energy into refrigerant energy by using absorption refrigeration groups. We use existing district heating infrastructures to also supply to buildings more efficiently than is possible with traditional air conditioning systems.

In fact, the appropriate use of this technology makes it possible to significantly reduce summer consumption of electricity for building cooling purposes.

Various district cooling solutions are available, principally:

Centralized cooling

Refrigerated water produced is distributed by means of a dedicated cold water network. Connection with the end consumer can be direct or via an exchange sub-station to ensure greater flexibility in the event of requests for different temperature levels.

Cooling at the user site

The existing district heating network is used, with the absorption refrigeration plant installed directly at the user location and fed by the thermal energy distributed by the network itself.

Activation

Who can activate district cooling

Find out whether your building meets the following criteria and ask for a cost estimate:

Large buildings or residential complexes

The service is particularly well suited to large buildings with high demand for summer cooling or to increasing cooling demand such as that of large, newly-built residential complexes.
